After becoming a mother, multiple surgeries, and the inevitable marks of a life fully lived — scars, stretch marks, hair loss — I faced the same crossroads many of my patients stand at. That raw vulnerability didn’t break me. It became the ignition point for everything ReCoverDerm would become.

My Personal Journey

When I started formulating ReCoverDerm's protocols, I faced a difficult truth: many professional-grade skincare lines depend on animal-derived ingredients or test on animals. As someone who was building a practice rooted in ethical care, I couldn't reconcile that.

My name is Carita Onyejikwe, founder of ReCoverDerm. My path was born from the personal — after motherhood, multiple surgeries, and facing the marks that life leaves behind, I stood at the same crossroads many of my patients face. That vulnerability became my fuel.

Today, as a Specialist and a lifelong student of skin science, I bridge the gap between medical precision and the human story. Whether on the soccer field with my sons, out walking my dog, or in the clinic — my mission is constant: providing a safe place for your transformation.
